tree Health Assessments
Whether you’re being proactive, caring for a cherished family tree, or simply seeking peace of mind after recent storms, we’ll guide you in understanding its condition and the best ways to support it.
-
Visual inspection
Our visual inspection service is the first step in understanding your tree’s health and safety.
We carefully examine the trunk, branches, canopy, and root zone for early signs of decay, disease, structural weakness, or storm damage. -
Sonic Density Tests
When visual inspections aren’t enough, our sonic density test lets us look inside the tree without causing harm.
Using specialized equipment, we send harmless sound waves through the trunk to measure how fast they travel. Changes in speed can reveal hidden decay, cavities, or weak spots long before they’re visible from the outside. -
Soil Compaction Test
Healthy roots start with healthy soil. Our soil compaction test measures how tightly packed the ground is around your tree’s root zone. Over time, foot traffic, vehicles, and construction can compress the soil, making it harder for roots to access air, water, and nutrients.
By identifying compacted areas, we can recommend targeted solutions—like aeration or mulching—to restore the soil’s structure and help your tree thrive.
-
Labs
Some tree health concerns require more than a field inspection. For issues that need confirmation, we partner with a trusted, accredited third-party laboratory to analyze leaf, soil, or other samples.
These tests can identify pests, diseases, nutrient imbalances, or environmental stress factors with scientific accuracy. The results help us create precise, targeted care recommendations for your tree.
